In the first quarter of this year we saw the iPad 3 debuting with an astonishing 2048 x 1536
pixel Retina display, a little over a Full HD TV (1920 x 1080) to have an idea. Apple kept their yearly hardware upgrade constant…until now! We see the new comers in the tablet game, the iPad Mini the iPad 4.
Cupertino, CA based company just unveiled the forth generation of their revolutionary iPad and the new iPad mini. And what is the controversy? Some consumers feel “cheated”, but how wouldn’t they? People thought they still had the regular life spam t buy their new iPad 3 (which is already pretty short) just to find that couple of days later or even hours as some claimed, their iPad 3 was just, outdated!

There are big improvements and steps forward in the hardware structure of the new iPad 4. The processor is a 1.3GHz A6X build by the company of course, or so they say (Samsung displays *hint*) capable of two times the productivity of at least the iPad 2 processor, which performs just fine, along with 1GB of RAM and the new lighting connector previously introduced on the iPhone 5, iOS 6, 5MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera for FaceTime.

iPad mini on the other hand, packs similar specs of the iPad 2 in a smaller 7.9 inch screen and more colors to choose from. Both come with the original storage options of 16, 32 and 64GB making it ideal for web browsing, music, picture and video storage.

It’s pretty up to the consumer mind-set. Either you love a company that evolves quickly and launches different products you can’t just let pass by and need to get hands-on them (shut up and take my money) or you feel cheated, because at $500.00 price point for a new iPad every year (now just a few months) you just can’t afford to be a vanguards Apple consumer. Company wise, it is a great strategy, because no matter how pissed and cheated you feel right now, there are millions around the world that blindly would just give their money away just to seize of one of these; you’d probably end up getting one as well (hopefully not 2 days before “iPad 5” comes out) while we see the battle of titans between iPad 4 and Windows Surface Pro as well as Windows 8, which is out today October 26 while the iPad mini will hit the shelves and be ready to ship on November 2.

i hear your sentiments, however i do also think that the consumer needs to take responsibility for their own actions, the launch of a new ipad does not render the ‘old’ ipad useless, so no need to upgrade so frequently along with apple

is ipad 4 the sam as ipad mini

      Rosalinda:
iPad 4 is a full size 9.7 inch tablet as conventional. Improved processor and such while iPad mini is a 7.9 inch tablet, smaller form factor that has as much power as the iPad 2 for example. There has been a lot of confusion for that!
